This industry placement with Gidget Foundation Australia assists students with their transition into perinatal mental health practice through the provision of direct professional experience. In this unit, which comprises a minimum of 70 hours, students will be exposed to the nature of professional consultations and associated expectations to help prepare them for future careers in the perinatal mental health field. Students will undertake an approved work program, designed by their workplace supervisor, and supported by an academic advisor. Students will reflect on the skills, experience, and professional competencies that they have obtained and receive constructive feedback and evaluation from their employer. |
