Brief description of the Unit

This is the first in a sequence of two subjects in which students complete their Honours thesis. Under supervision, students formulate a question and then research and write an extended research thesis of 12,000 to 15,000 words or equivalent (for example, creative practice with exegesis). The thesis demonstrates students' advanced knowledge and skills as relevant to their discipline. The topic must be approved by the disciplinary honours coordinator and/or supervisor.

This unit will compose of regular discussions between the student and the individual supervisor to progress their research thesis and/or creative deliverables. It will have a strong focus on building thesis drafts/early versions from existing units that have scaffolded the student towards the final research output.
