Brief description of the Unit

Students are introduced firstly to research proposals. Key elements addressed are proposal purpose, audience, knowledge gaps, research question design, theoretical frameworks, methodological approaches, study designs, research significance, research implications plus feasibility considerations including resources, instrument development, skill requirements, time, budget, quality expectations and supervisory relationships. Key research milestones and related processes are then described including research integrity, ethics applications, research project management, research outputs and thesis formats
