Brief description of the Unit |
This unit equips students with the skills and knowledge required to develop and evaluate curriculum for the vocational education and training (VET) sector and non-accredited workplace settings. The curriculum may be based on training package qualifications and units of competency, or other accredited and non-accredited courses, including units developed in collaboration with employers. The unit focuses on the development of effective training strategies, the selection and development of appropriate delivery methods, and the creation of suitable learning resources. These skills can be applied in Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and industry contexts. Students will explore the principles of curriculum design in the VET sector and learn how to work confidently with enterprises as external or internal clients in providing training services and advice. The importance of training program evaluation is explored and applied in addition to planning and conducting a Training Needs Analysis (TNA) as part of establishing and fostering effective Industry-RTO partnerships. |
