| Brief description of the Unit |
This unit is designed to develop foundational skills in understanding and applying evidence-based practice so that students become informed consumers of research with the ability to relate research to health practice. The unit will examine the major steps in the research process and the principles of evidence-based practice. In order to provide the highest quality health care, students must be able to access, interpret and evaluate the best available evidence, and incorporate into health practice. The knowledge and skills developed in this unit can be utilised across all units of the Bachelor of Health courses. This unit will incorporate additional learning hours to support the development of students’ academic and study skills |
