Brief description of the Unit |
This is the second cardiac nursing practice course that provides an opportunity for students to continue to examine cardiac practice from the perspective of a strengths-based framework. This will also provide an opportunity to interrogate cardiac practice through nursing assessments, therapeutic interactions with patients, their families, and the multidisciplinary team through planning, implementing, and evaluating safe and collaborative cardiac nursing interventions. This course will also facilitate a deeper engagement with opportunities to develop sound clinical reasoning in the holistic care of individual’s experiencing poor health among cardiac patients and their families. |
