Brief description of the Unit |
This unit develops student’s ability to work in partnership with families, a crucial skill for healthcare professionals supporting families with young children, through the use of the Family Partnership Model (Davis & Day, 2010). Experiential workshops will focus on both theory and the development of applied knowledge and skills around the helping process in order to develop effective and empowering relationships with families. This includes working with culturally diverse partnerships and motivational interviewing |
