| Brief description of the Unit |
This course aims to consolidate students’ skills in research principles and methods in Speech Pathology in a health- related topic. It includes the ability to work in a professional learning team and to formulate effective questions, conduct effective literature searches, critically appraise research and determine the applicability of identified research to Speech Pathologists' practice. Students will be provided with a practice scenario to develop a proposal for the review of the research in an health-related area of speech pathology. |

Professional Standards for Speech Pathologist in Australia (2020), Speech Pathology Guidelines for Reporting of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Curriculum Development and Inclusions (2018), FedUni STRETCH Reconciliation Action Plan (2019-2022), National Quality and Safeguarding Framework (NQSF, 2018), National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards (2017-2019) and National Aged Care Quality Standards (2019) have substantially informed the syllabus/content of this course Content - Items:Topics may include: - Evidence based practice
