Brief description of the Unit

Students are offered a unique opportunity to engage in the sport and recreation industry by completing a 560 hours/14 weeks (or equivalent) full-time internship. This 60 credit point internship is offered to the third year Bachelor of International Sport Management students with a grade point average of 6 and above. The main focus of the internship is for students to further enhance their skills and knowledge developed throughout their Degree and to gain practical experience in the sport and recreation industry. This internship enables students to develop valuable networks and skills to assist with their future employment within the industry.

Unit Content:

This course will link the theoretical content of courses undertaken as part of the Bachelor of International Sport Management degree over the preceding two and a half years, with the practical application in the workplace. This 60 credit point internship is a 560 hours/14 weeks fulltime (or equivalent) practical experience, jointly supervised by the Federation University, Institute of Health and Wellbeing and workplace industry mentor.
