480 hours of professional practice clinical placement experience

Each five-week block (32 hours per week) of clinical experience provides opportunities to integrate theory and practice. In a wide range of settings, you will be given the opportunity and instruction to develop and refine your clinical and reasoning skills necessary for entry into the workforce. Workbased placements allow the development of competencies required for professional practice, including reflective practice, clinical assessment, intervention skills, professional communication, and self-management. Not only will you practice the skills taught, but you will also continue to develop your professional identity. The physiotherapist educators at various facilities work in close partnership with the university to provide these teaching and learning opportunities and to create highly contextualised learning outcomes for you.
