Brief description of the Unit

This unit will see students engage in a consultation process with a real-world problem defined by the needs of a private or community organisation, and to present a solution or possible solutions to this problem. The aim of this unit is to enhance students’ ability to apply their understanding of psychology principles, and communicate their understanding via a major applied task. On completion of this unit, students will be able to assimilate psychological theory and research, and apply and communicate psychology principles and research to appropriate stakeholders.

Unit Content:

Students will apply their knowledge of the research process, including literature searching, data evaluation, and reporting findings to answer a specific question relevant to psychology as applied in the real world, identified in consultation with a relevant stakeholder (either real or imagined).
