Brief description of the Unit

This is the first placement unit that provides the opportunity for students to apply, under supervision, the knowledge and skills acquired through coursework. In this placement, students will develop foundational competency in psychological practice under the supervision of a board-approved supervisor.

Knowledge:

K1.	Integrate the selection, administration, scoring and interpretation of a range of appropriate self-report, and clinician administered psychometric measures

K2.	Critically evaluate and select appropriate evidence-based clinical assessment and treatment procedures for mental health problems.

K4.	Effectively utilise clinical supervision to facilitate and monitor the learning of assessment and intervention skills, to modify clinical practice in response to feedback, and to develop self-awareness and realistic self-evaluation skills.
