Brief description of the Unit

This unit will build of existing knowledge for working with children and adolescents in psychological practice to develop knowledge and understanding of complex psychological disorders occurring in childhood and adolescence. Students will develop knowledge and skills related to diagnosis in relation to aetiology, maintaining mechanisms, assessment and formulation. This unit will examine the role of clinical psychologists in multidisciplinary teams for supporting children and adolescents with complex clinical presentation and understanding pharmacological management of complex childhood and adolescent psychological disorders.
